Don't Go Hungry!

For some students, seeing the difference between unison notes, notes moving a 2nd higher, or a 2nd lower, can be tricky.

In this case, repetition is key.

And one way to repeat this concept is through music games...like this one!

Players start in the middle of the board.

They take turns picking up note cards and identifying whether the notes:

Stay on the same note (unison)

Move up a 2nd

Move down a 2nd

Whatever the notes do, they do. E.g. if the notes move up by a 2nd, they move up one space on the board.

If a player reaches the lasagne, they win.

If a player reaches the hungry space, they lose (and the other players runs to the lasagne!)

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD:

  • Instructions for how to play
  • Lasagne board
  • Note cards (there's an expansion set available in the Freebies Vault)

And if you're wondering why lasagne - this was a request from a teacher whose lasagne-loving student needed some extra work on these intervals!
