Print and Play Halloween Bundle

Add some Halloween fun and games to your piano studio this Halloween with this bundle of no-prep music games!

WHAT IS IT?

7 dice-based music games covering a variety of topics (more about this in a second)

Bonus Halloween composition activity

GAMES ARE:

1. COBWEB INTERVALS

Move around the board by throwing the dice.

When you land on an interval space, find a matching interval on the cobweb board and cover it up. First to get three in a row wins!

2. MAGICAL CATS

Throw the dice to determine which piano key you need to identify.

When you know which note it is, move on the board to the nearest space with the matching letter.

First to the end is the winner!

3. 3 TREATS IN A ROW

Roll a dice.

Each number represents a different note in treble clef (C-G)

Find the note you rolled on the grid and cover it up.

The first player with three in a row is the winner.

4. LICORICE LEGS

Roll the dice (there's a pattern here - every game involves dice!) and read the pattern of words in the box.

If you have a rhythm in your trick-or-treat box that matches the words, cover it up.

BUT if you roll and get Licorice Legs the candy-stealing spider, you have to give him one of your candies.

5. BATS AND CATS

Roll the dice to determine which dynamic symbol you're identifying.

Work out its definition and move to the nearest matching space on the board.

6. POISON APPLES

Roll the dice to determine which note or rest you're looking at.

Cover up that many spaces on the board (e.g. if your note is worth 2 beats you cover up 2 spaces)

BUT if you cover up a poison apple you have to remove your tokens!

7. ROLLY IMPROV

Roll the dice to find out which emoji/action/character you're going to create an improvisation for.

BONUS: Halloween Composition Activity

Clap the Halloween-themed rhythms.

Put notes to them (recommended is C, D, Eb but you're free to use more notes)

Add them into the empty bars in the piece.

Play your masterpiece!
