WHAT IS IT? 
Think 4 In A Row...but with rhythm. 
 
Players take turns to
Choose a rhythm square 
Pick up an instruction card
Clap/play/sing the rhythm by following the instructions on the card
If the rhythm is clapped correctly, they cover up that rhythm square with one of their tokens. 
 
Play continues with players trying to get four in a row, while stopping the other player from getting four in a row!

Instructions for how to play 'Tropical Rhythms'
Two colourful boards:
'Basic'  rhythms - crotchets (quarter notes), two quavers (two eighth notes), four semiquavers (four sixteenth notes), minims (half notes)
'More complex' rhythms - dotted rhythms, quaver followed by two semiquavers (eighth note followed by two sixteenth notes), two semiquavers followed by a quaver (two sixteenth notes followed by an eighth note) 
Two sheets of instruction cards (plus one sheet of empty cards so you can add your own) 
Flamingo and palm tree tokens (but you can omit these and use your own tokens) 
Optional card backing sheet (so your instruction cards can have a patterned back)
